Self-Starter Kit

We curbside deliver all required parts with an easy step-by-step guide for building and running your own cedar wood hot tub.

Kit Includes:

  • Small kit includes 5’ diameter (2-3 person capacity) with 4’ staves.
  • Large kit includes 6’ diameter (4-6 person capacity) with 4’ staves.
  • 350 (small kit), 400 (large kit) board feet of clear, knot-free white cedar boards, planed to 1 5/8” in thickness.

  • 1 bead and 1 cove router bits, both at 1 1/2″ in diameter.
  • 60 linear (small kit) 80 linear (large kit) ft of 1 1/4″ wide stainless steel band with brackets, bolts and nuts.
  • Insulated marine-grade vinyl cover, that achieves at least R22 insulation value.
  • 2 high-volume suction drains with nuts and elbows.
  • 2 (small kit) 4 (large kit) high-volume 1 1/2″ directional nozzle jets with nuts and elbows.
  • 1 1/2″ flex pipe and PVC spa glue.
  • Spa controller (Gecko Y-Series), keypad, 4 kW heater, 2 HP pump (Waterway 2 speed), in-line canister filter (50 sq ft with replaceable filter), water balancing kit, elbows, T-fittings, and everything else needed to get your hot tub running smoothly.

Here at Wakefield Wood Tubs, we believe that the opportunity should be made available to all who choose it.

With this combination of materials, components, timely advice, and instruction, it actually is possible (and realistic) for any home woodworker to build their own cedar hot tub.

How long do I have to wait for you to ship it?

We’ll put together your order and ship it out directly, as all of the required parts are available and in stock. No significant COVID-19 related delays.

How long will it take me to build?
Build it within weeks, not months or years. You’ll be ready to install your creation in its permanent location this spring.
What if I need more help?

What if I want a different size? Or a wood burning option?
